The ENGAGE mini-course reimagines the traditional semester-long CLAW Institute as
an engaging, streamlined four-week active learning experience designed for busy instructors. By thoughtfully curating and prioritizing the most impactful content, the series delivers
core concepts, practical strategies, and collaborative opportunities in a concise
format — one focused session per week.
Each meeting builds intentionally on the last, allowing participants to reflect, apply, and return with insights that deepen their understanding and strengthen their practice. This structure preserves the depth and integrity of a full institute while increasing accessibility, enabling participants to engage meaningfully without a significant time commitment.

ENGAGE is open to all faculty — including adjunct instructors, as well as graduate students who have at least one-to-two semesters of college-level teaching experience as the instructor of record — who are interested in increasing student engagement and success.
