The Designing Learning unit within the LEEF ecosystem advances teaching excellence and educational innovation by helping educators develop forward-looking skills in course design, evidence-based teaching, and emerging instructional practices. Through institutes, workshops, consultations, and scholarly engagement, we support instructors at every stage of their teaching careers in creating meaningful, effective learning experiences for students.
Grounded in educational research and best practices, our work supports LEEF's mission by supporting educator growth, instructional innovation, thoughtful course design, and meaningful curricular alignment. Through partnerships across the university, we help connect effective teaching practices with broader institutional goals and priorities.
We also provide accessible, just-in-time resources that help educators address immediate teaching needs. In collaboration with colleagues across LEEF and UNT, we contribute to institutional initiatives focused on AI in teaching and learning, course design, and instructional innovation.
Whether you are refining a single assignment, redesigning a course, or exploring new approaches to teaching, we are here to partner with you in your growth as an educator and in fostering student success!
